Another LSAT administration, another weather delay.
Just four months after Hurricane Sandy caused a delay in the release of October LSAT scores, a blizzard in the northeast United States has forced LSAC to close a number of February LSAT testing centers. The full list of LSAT testing centers that will be closed can be found here. As of Friday morning there are eight states affected: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. A handful of February LSAT testing centers in Canada have also been closed.
If you were scheduled to take the February LSAT in one of the affected LSAT testing centers, you should receive a notification from LSAC about the situation, as well as an email within a week of when and where your rescheduled LSAT will take place. You should expect to take a different exam from that of the regularly scheduled February LSATs that LSAC will administer on Saturday.
You can also follow LSAC on Twitter to receive updates on the updates.
We’ll keep you posted as we hear more. In the meantime, chime in with your thoughts in the comments. Were you affected by an LSAT testing center closure? If so, how do you feel? Is it an advantage or disadvantage to get more time to study for the February LSAT?
Some people have expressed trouble seeing the list of February LSAT testing center closures on LSAC’s website. Here are two screenshots of the closures as of Friday afternoon:
