When it comes to the law school journey, everyone has their own story, but there’s one big challenge most of us have to tackle: the LSAT. In this series, our Blueprint LSAT alumni share how they crushed the LSAT and made their law school dreams come true!
Janaki has always been passionate about environmental justice and dreamed of attending law school to specialize in environmental law. However, one challenge stood in her way—the LSAT. After struggling with another LSAT prep program, she decided to try Blueprint LSAT. The results were transformative: Janaki boosted her score by 13 points, landed in the 98th percentile, and earned admission to a T14 law school. Here’s how she did it.
My journey to law school hasn’t been without struggle—especially the LSAT, which often felt like a barrier rather than a bridge to my goals. Going straight through from undergrad, I faced burnout and self-doubt, but my frustration only strengthened my resolve.
I’m driven by a deep belief that the law can be a tool for environmental justice, and I’m committed to using my career to turn that belief into action…especially in the fight against climate change. Legal systems shape how we protect natural spaces, hold polluters accountable, and ensure vulnerable communities aren’t left behind. By becoming a lawyer, I can help create a future where environmental justice is not just an ideal, but a reality.

My LSAT Journey
I self-studied just using free LawHub resources and used 7Sage’s Core package. I took the LSAT with these methods and scored near my diagnostic score rather than near my score after practicing. I knew I needed a change…and a different method.
I chose the 170+ Course from Blueprint…I was drawn to the guarantee, so I knew that I would hold myself accountable to attend all the classes and do all the homework for the guarantee to apply. With Blueprint, I was able to increase my score exponentially because it provided support in doing the problems and testing styles and methods, which helped me the most.
Blueprint helped me increase my score to a 174 from my diagnostic score of 161, which I was very happy with.
I think Blueprint helped me so much because they focused less on timing at first and more on content. They also broke down the questions systematically so that for each question it became reflex to anticipate the answer.
Advice To Other Pre-Laws and LSAT Students
I would say to take a live LSAT class and take up a hobby to avoid burnout. I’d also say to start your essays early and take a day off before editing them. Fresh eyes always help.
