As a proud UCLA graduate, and a Daily Bruin sportswriter for five years, I can tell you definitively, with not an iota of doubt, that the UCLA football team sucks this year worse than any other year in the past ten. The Bruins are 3-5. In their next four games, they are going to be underdogs. They will probably finish this season with a losing record. Coach Rick Neuheisel is about as dynamic as a bag of cement. These are the facts.

But that shouldn’t deter you from coming to the Rose Bowl tomorrow for the UCLA-Oregon State game. And as if you need further enticement, we’re going to be tailgating for upwards of nine hours before the game, meaning that food will be cooking and refreshments will be flowing. We’ll have chairs, shade, drinks, food, and games involving ping pong balls for any who want to stop by. For Blueprint students/alumni, it’s a good way to grab some free sustenance. For potential students, it’s a good way to learn a bit about Blueprint while having a good time before the game.

We’ll be starting around 7 AM for the 4 PM game, so feel free to swing by whenever. We’re going to be toward the front of Lot H (next to the permanent bathroom) so just look for the Blueprint banner. Hope to see you all there.
