When LSAC announced a new schedule of LSATs for 2018, one change stuck out for us: the end-of-year LSAT — which was for time immemorial held in December — was suddenly moved up to November. November 17th ,to be precise.
This was good news, for a variety of reasons. Test takers would have the option to take this new November test, secure an LSAT score, and apply to law school before the calendar flips to 2019 — granting these test takers all the advantages of an early (or at least early-ish) application. Test takers would also be able to finish the LSAT before Thanksgiving and the holiday season, allowing them to enjoy holiday festivities in a post-exam bliss, without thoughts of conditional statements and logical fallacies lingering over them.
But there is one drawback to the new November LSAT that prospective test takers should be aware of. Unless there’s an interminably long election like 2016’s, November has a way of sneaking up on you. November’s name comes from the Latin “novem,” meaning nine, since it was the ninth month in the ancient Roman calendar. And sometimes it feels like the ninth month of our calendar too. One moment you notice that the temperature is starting to dip, everyone’s going back to school, and there’s a new dumb football controversy dominating national discourse, and then the next moment — boom — suddenly it’s pumpkin spice everything.
Which means this November LSAT might sneak up on you. So for anyone planning to apply to law school this year — whether you’ll be taking the LSAT for the first time or trying again after the July or September exam — you should start planning for the November exam ASAP. Because before you know it, you’ll be immersed in sweaters and autumnal hues and the ravenous capitalist demands of the holiday shopping season, and — oh that’s right — you’ll also have to take the November LSAT.
But fortunately, Blueprint has you covered. We have a list of classroom courses that will get you prepared for the November LSAT. We’ve planned everything out. We’ll have a series of proctored practice exams scheduled for you. We’ll break down everything tested on the LSAT into a series of 16 lessons and 3 practice workshops, taught to you by our one of many charming instructors. And we’ll provide a steady stream of practice questions through your homework, which will adapt to your own strengths and weakness. This kind of planning is one reason why Blueprint classroom students average a hefty 11-point increase on their practice exams.
Plus, we even added a new 8-week accelerated course in New York to make sure we’re not missing anyone who didn’t plan ahead early enough. The rest of these classes are starting very soon though. So check them all out below, sign up at the links provided, and make sure the November LSAT doesn’t pass you by!
