Whether you are an M1, M2, or M3, here’s how to choose the right Cram Fighter subscription to suit your study schedule needs in medical school.

Most schools give students four to eight weeks off to study for the USMLE Step 1 and 2. If you plan to use this time only to study, subscribe to our monthly recurring plan, and cancel your recurring charges at the appropriate time. The Monthly Recurring plan is best for one or two months of studying.
Many M1 students plan to study for the USMLE Step 1 for longer, and choose one of our shorter prepaid plans. With a three to five month plan, you can use our study blocks feature to create a light period of studying while classes are in session and a dedicated study period for after classes end. Many M2 students also choose a three to five month plan to create a study schedule for their rotations, Shelf exams, and Step 2 CK.
We recommend our 12-month plan. It’s our best value and is best suited to students studying for multiple exams. If you are an M1, use a 12-month plan and add your courses to Cram Fighter. You can use Step 1 resources to supplement biochemistry, pathology, and microbiology. M2 students also use Step 1 resources to supplement their coursework and get an early start on Step 1 studying. This student says that using Step 1 resources during classes actually helped him score higher on class exams. Last, M3 students use a 12-month Cram Fighter plan to stay on top of their preparation for Shelf exams during rotations, and prepare for Step CK throughout the year.
