Cram Fighter Brings Fresh New Ideas on Medical School Study Planning to AAMC
- Dec 15, 2016
Learning specialists and medical students try out Cram Fighter’s new features that help students prepare for classes, the USMLE, COMLEX, and Shelf exams.
This November, Cram Fighter attended the Association of American Medical Colleges’ (AAMC) Learn Serve Lead Event in Seattle. “I was excited about AAMC this year for two reasons,” said Amit Mathew, the founder of Cram Fighter. “First, to demonstrate our new Cram Fighter for Courses product and, second, to share my enthusiasm about having our first 3 schools purchase Cram Fighter for their students.”

At AAMC, medical students, administrators, and learning specialists had the opportunity to take Cram Fighter’s new features for a spin. “I’m always a fan of showing rather than telling,” said Amit. Faculty and administrators were excited by Cram Fighter’s ability to help real students become more productive, especially with respect to Cram Fighter’s new tool for medical school courses. Cram Fighter’s new Courses feature expands the app’s usability beyond board preparation to class preparation. For example, students can now integrate their USMLE study schedule with their tasks for preparing for a class exam.
“Faculty and administrators loved the idea of having a tool that helps students with day-to-day coursework,” said Amit. “There are a lot of great products out there addressing various aspects of studying for the boards, but there seems to be a gap in helping students cope with the transition to medical school and surviving those first two years. Our goal was to create a tool that helps bridge that gap, and I think our new Courses tool does just that.”
