Living in Southern California is pretty amazing — the weather is great, the beaches are beautiful, the social and food scenes are vibrant. As if that wasn’t enough, residents of Southern California get the added benefit of a free Blueprint event at Southwestern Law School on Saturday, September 9th from 4pm-6pm (the address is 3050 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010 and parking is free). To RSVP for the event, click here.

Check-in will begin at 3:30. You can stop by the Blueprint table to ask questions or take an info handout before heading to one of the sessions detailed below.

At 4pm, there will be a mock admission committee, which will give you the opportunity to see what the people reviewing your application are actually thinking about when they review your materials.

At 5pm, you can choose between attending the Blueprint LSAT seminar or go to a live demonstration and Q&A with the Southwestern Moot Court Honors Program, Trial Advocacy Honors Program, and Negotiations Honors program. The Blueprint LSAT seminar will be led by Branden Frankel. Branden scored 175 on the LSAT, and he went on to graduate from the UCLA School of Law. He’ll answer any questions you have on the LSAT, the admissions process, and law school in general.

At 6pm, there will be a reception with hors d’ouevres (read: snacks, I just felt like being fancy) and a raffle. Raffle prizes include two sets of two hours of Blueprint LSAT tutoring as well as a Southwestern book scholarship, covering the full cost of the required books during the first year of law school for someone admitted to Southwestern Law School (thus, to get the book scholarship, you’d have to win the raffle, apply to Southwestern this cycle before 12/1/17, be accepted, and then redeem it — if your eyes glazed over reading all that, just wait until you see how much law textbooks cost, then you’ll be paying rapt attention). In addition to the raffle, you’ll be able to meet Branden and the other speakers, as well as staff of the institution.

Basically, this is the best thing to come out of the Angel City since La La Land (which is an excuse for me to bring up Ryan Gosling, my everyday man crush). Additionally, parking is free (which true Southern Californians know is a rarity) and all attendees will receive a $400 discount on a Blueprint LSAT classroom course and a fee waiver to apply to Southwestern.

If you’re not so #blessed as to actually live in the LA area, you can still attend one of our webinars (Con — you don’t get snacks or raffle prizes. Pro — you don’t have to put on pants).
