The Turmoil of Shaker Nation
In this week’s sample logical reasoning question, Riley examines the case of the Los Angeles Shakers, and the fundamental disagreements between the team’s owner, Dr. Bus, and the team’s star player, Kohby. Should they get the 7 foot giant from Orlando, or should they get the young point guard who can speed up the offense? One thing they certainly agree upon is that in the wake of that embarrassing loss in the playoffs, shakeups need to be made, and now it’s just a matter of figuring out what needs to happen. Check out the keynote explanation and text of the question after the jump.

Dr. Bus: As the owner of the LA Shakers, I think our number one priority is to bring in a young point guard and to speed up the offense. It’s time to change the system we’ve been running. It’s pretty great being the owner of the Los Angeles Shakers, since owners don’t have to listen to anybody and ultimately make the personnel decisions.

Kohby: There’s no doubt that certain changes need to be made after that embarrassing loss. As a 5-time champion and one of the best basketball players of all time, my suggestions need to be followed. Our team needs a new player in the center position. I would prefer the 7-foot giant from Orlando.

Kohby and Dr. Bus are committed to disagreeing about which one of the following facts:

A) The LA Shakers’ number one priority is to bring in a young point guard.
B) It is necessary to speed up the Shaker offense.
C) Dr. Bus should listen to Kohby’s suggestions.
D) Kohby is one of the best basketball players of all time.
E) Any personnel suggestion Kohby makes must be followed.
