Free MCAT Psychology and Sociology Outline

Our MCAT team created a FREE Psych/Soc outline to reflect the current MCAT. Want to know more about how this outline came to be? Read on below!
In 2014, our MCAT Special Ops Team—led by Dr. Birju Patel, a psychiatry resident—embarked upon creating our in-depth expansion of the AAMC’s official MCAT2015 Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior outline.
Our goal was to provide a free and thorough supplemental MCAT resource via our expanded outline, with in-depth definitions, visuals, and resource references so you can master the Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior section and crush it on exam day.
If you haven’t used our expanded MCAT Psych/Soc outline yet, we’ve broken it down by having a post for each Content Category, from 6A through 10A. Some Content Categories were much lengthier than others—such as 6B and 9A—so we broke them down into two parts.
As you get started, we’d recommend first taking a look at our Resource Abbreviation Key so you’re familiar with how we’ve noted each resource. Then, just dive into whichever section you need.
Also, since making a decisive choice about which MCAT prep resources to use can be enough to make you scream, our MCAT Special Ops Team also reviewed Examkrackers, Kaplan, and Princeton Review in depth.
