Before you can sit for the PCAT, you need to do two things: register for and then schedule the test.
Part One – Registration
Before you begin
In order to register for the PCAT, you will need to create an account on pcatweb.info. To create an account, click the blue “Log In” link on the right-hand side of the navigation bar. Once there, you will need to click “Create User Account” just above the “User Name” box.
How to register for PCAT
After you have created an account, you will be able to register for the PCAT. To do so, go to pcatweb.info and click the “Log In” button. Enter your credentials in the “User Name” and “Password” boxes provided.
Once you’ve logged in, you will be asked to enter your information. It is imperative that the information you enter matches your primary ID exactly. If your information does not match on test day, you will not be allowed to sit for the exam and no refund will be issued.
You will receive a confirmation email once your credit card has been processed. This email will give you instructions on how to complete part two of the registration process: scheduling.
Part Two – Scheduling
Before you begin
You will need to have your PCAT CID to schedule your exam, so make sure that you have it present. You can find your CID by logging into pcatweb.info and going to “My Profile”; you will find the CID listed near your name.
Just as with part one of this process, you will need to have an account with Pearson in order to schedule your exam. You can click the “Create Account” button at the right hand side of the page on pearsonvue.com/pcat, or follow the instructions below and click “Create a web account”.
How to schedule your PCAT
To schedule your exam, you will need to go to pearsonvue.com/pcat and click the “Schedule Online” button located under the “Scheduling” headline. Make sure that your information is listed correctly after signing in.
You can schedule your exam by clicking “PCAT: Pharmacy College Admissions Test” then “Schedule this Exam”. You will be allowed to choose the date, location, and time for your exam; however Pearson VUE seats on a first-come, first-served basis, so the exact date, time, and/or location you want may not be available; be sure to schedule well in advance!
Deadlines
Each PCAT test date has two deadlines: the regular “Register and Schedule By” deadline and a “Late Register and Schedule By” deadline, which charges additional fees. Remember that Pearson VUE seats on a first-come, first-served basis, so you want to register for your PCAT test date as early as possible. Otherwise, you may have to change your preferred date or travel to sit for the exam. There is no reason to stress yourself out even further on test day; schedule as early as you can!
Be Prepared
If you want to get into pharmacy school, you know how important the PCAT is. You want to make sure that you are confident in your knowledge and abilities going into test day.
