Pre-med students know their med school interviews are a very important part of the application process. It’s certainly no secret that schools rely on these to determine if a student should be accepted, wait-listed, or rejected. Next Step partnered with Your Pre-Med Advising Team to bring you this webinar about how to ace your interviews.
Dr. Hollander and Dana Bond of Your Pre-Med Advising Team discuss the med school application process from your initial goals to your decision on which school to attend. They explain the importance of building a portfolio and showcasing your potential. The interview is your chance to make your application come to life and it is the school’s chance to see if you match your paper credentials.
They explain the interview structure from your acceptance of an interview invitation to the follow-ups and thank you’s. They discuss the importance of being on your best behavior while at the school, emphasizing the fact that your interview begins the second you set foot on campus. They also take students through common sample questions and how to approach them.
Since the interviews are such an important piece of your application, you really want to make sure that you are properly prepared come interview day. See how Your Pre-Med Advising Team can help you prepare for your interview and design your story. Check out the recording of the webinar below.
