MCAT 2015 Time Limits

While having an in depth understanding of the content tested by the new MCAT will be vital to your success on test day, there is something else you need to worry about. Timing. The MCAT tests your ability to solve problems, and solve them quickly, just as much as it tests your knowledge of organic chemistry and physics.

Number of Questions: 53
Section Time: 90 minutes
Minutes per Passage: 10
Minutes per Question: A little over 1.5 minutes
Psychological, Sociological, and Biological Foundations of Behavior
Number of Questions:
Section Time: 95 minutes
Minutes per Passage: 8 minutes
Minutes per Question: About 1.5 minutes
Biological Sciences
Number of Questions:
Section Time: 95 minutes
Minutes per Passage: 8 minutes
Minutes per Question: About 1.5 minutes
Physical Sciences
Number of Questions:
Section Time: 95 minutes
Minutes per Passage: 8 minutes
Minutes per Question: About 1.5 minutes
