Meaghan Nelson, PA-S

After earning a Bachelor of Science in exercise science from Iowa State University in 2012, Meaghan Nelson, PA-C earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University in 2019. She is board-certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Meaghan enjoys the unique nature of each day spent caring for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions. Because she believes in helping her patients through shared decision-making, she takes time to make sure they understand those decisions. Meaghan encourages patients to be active participants in their health care. Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Meaghan enjoys learning about the history in Hampton Roads, exploring the area’s many activities and meeting its welcoming local people. She stays active in her daily life with hobbies that include running, playing sports, camping and backpacking.
